Street View Architecture collects and curates modernist buildings from across the world and provides the opportunity to explore facades and surrounding environments at street-level through Google Maps Street View.
We are passionate about, and predominately document, modern (20th century) architecture. This period includes architectural movements such as mid-century modern, international-style, bauhaus, prairie school and constructivist.
Most of the buildings we post were built between 1930 - 1970, with the large majority being mid-century buildings from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
There are a couple of exceptions, including a few early works by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Neutra from the 1920s.
Building submissions are always welcome. View the guidelines here.
Although operating on a blog platform at present, Street View Architecture plans to develop into a fully-interactive website powered by Google Maps API sometime in the near future.
